ABOUT: The heart of SoulSCIP [pronounced: Soul-SIP] is to provide a space to refresh one's spirit by engaging with studies based on Scripture analysis, Consideration, Implementation, and Prayer [SoulSCIP]. In John 4, Jesus is on the move from Judaea to Galilee for His ministry, but on the way He stops near Samaria at Jacobs well in the city of Sychar. In this chapter, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman, and after conversing with her, although against the current societal norms, He presents the idea of the living water that He supplies to those who want to know God and receive the gift of salvation that He offers to humanity. The Samaritan woman then is told by Jesus, after asking Him a question about His identity, "'... whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life'" (John 4:14, NIV).
FOUNDATION: This Biblical story is the foundation and inspiration of SoulSCIP.
